Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Acceptance Testing Technician, Energy Storage - Level 2, to oversee testing, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair activities in substations and PV facilities. This remote role requires heavy travel to varying job sites; location specifics are discussed during the interview process.

Minimums include 3–5 years as an electrician testing technician, OSHA 30, NFPA 70e, and STS certifications. Travel up to 75% and strong safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 3–5 years as electrician testing technician in substations or BESS yards.
• Pursue C-10 license or Certified Electrical Worker Card.
• Ability to travel 75% of the time.
• OSHA 30 certification required.
• NFPA 70e Safety Training certification required.
• STS certification preferred.
• Ability to pass exams on electrical schematics, troubleshooting, and hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise site testing, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting as directed.
• Perform site testing, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and energized electrical work safely.
• Prepare timely and accurate documentation and required reports.
• Lead and train Testing Technician Level I personnel and trainees.
• Ensure safe working environment per safety standards and procedures.
• Review and write Standard Operating Procedures; develop policies.
• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and teammates.
