Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Acceptance Testing Technician, Energy Storage - Level 2, to manage testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair at substations and PV facilities. The position is remote with heavy travel, and location details will be discussed during interviews.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years as an electrician testing technician in substations or BESS yards, with OSHA 30, NFPA 70e, and STS certifications. Travel up to 75% and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of electrician testing technician experience in substations or BESS yards.
• Travel up to 75% of the time.
• OSHA 30 certification required.
• NFPA 70e Safety Training certification required or equivalent.
• STS certification required.
• Ability to pass exams on electrical schematics and symbols.
• Ability to pass exams on electrical troubleshooting.
• Ability to pass exams on hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise site testing, maintenance, and repair as directed by management.
• Perform testing and energized electrical work following safety standards.
• Prepare and review complete test reports and documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and teammates on testing activities.
• Ensure safe working environment and enforce safety procedures.
