Job summary

Bio‑Rad is seeking an Academic Account Executive in the San Diego area to drive sales growth across Genomics and Proteomics portfolios, including ddPCR, qPCR, Imaging, Western Blot, and Chromatography workflows.

The role covers the California region, requiring daily on-site customer visits, on-going demonstrations, and proactive opportunity development. Strong scientific background and executive communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• BA/BS required; MS/PhD preferred.
• 8 years of sales experience with Genomics and/or Proteomics capital equipment & consumables preferred.
• Experience selling to academic and government customers preferred.
• Demonstrates scientific understanding and fluency in Bio‑Rad product areas.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; highly motivated with a proven track record.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic territory plan to drive adoption of Genomics and Proteomics solutions to achieve or exceed sales targets.
• Engage directly with academic customers through regular on-site visits to advance opportunities and demonstrate Bio‑Rad products.
• Build and manage a healthy sales funnel with CRM updates and accurate forecasting.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Account Executives, Field Application Specialists, and Marketing to expand Bio‑Rad’s footprint and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain communication and technical fluency, including product knowledge, demonstrations, and timely reporting to leadership.
