Bio‑Rad is seeking an Academic Account Executive in the San Diego area to drive sales growth across Genomics and Proteomics portfolios, including ddPCR, qPCR, Imaging, Western Blot, and Chromatography workflows.
The role covers the California region, requiring daily on-site customer visits, on-going demonstrations, and proactive opportunity development. Strong scientific background and executive communication are essential for success.
The Academic Account Executive, based in the San Diego area, plays a key role in driving sales growth and supporting Bio‑Rad’s life science product portfolio. Each day begins with reviewing inbound communications, responding to quote requests, and updating the opportunity pipeline in Salesforce with call notes, timelines, and next steps. Field activities include engaging with current customers to advance opportunities, ensuring consumables are in place to support workflows, and proactively identifying new prospects through referrals and outreach.
This position covers the California region. The individual must live within a geography that allows them to visit customers on‑site on a daily basis.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $121,200 to $166,700 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is also eligible for quarterly commission based on assigned sales quotas.
