Job summary

Bio-Rad Laboratories in the Ann Arbor area is seeking an Academic Account Executive to drive sales of Genomics and Proteomics solutions, including ddPCR, qPCR, Imaging, Western Blot and Chromatography workflows. You will visit academic customers on-site, demonstrate consumables and small equipment, and manage a robust opportunity pipeline.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, maintain product knowledge, and provide timely activity reports to leadership.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required; advanced degrees preferred.
• 5 years of sales experience with Genomics/Proteomics capital equipment and consumables.
• Experience selling to academic and government customers preferred.
• Strong scientific understanding and fluency in Bio‑Rad's portfolio domains.

Responsibilities

• Review inbound communications, respond to quote requests, and update Salesforce with call notes and timelines.
• Engage with academic customers through on-site visits to demonstrate and sell Bio‑Rad consumables and small equipment.
• Build and manage a healthy sales funnel with CRM updates and accurate forecasting.
• Collaborate with Account Executives, Field Application Specialists, and Marketing to expand Bio‑Rad's footprint and ensure customer satisfaction.
