Qualifications

• Three years minimum experience in public safety communications or equivalent.
• Completion of dispatch training with proficiency following training period.

Responsibilities

• Answer 911 lines, non-emergency lines, TTY and text-to-911; verify locations.
• Coordinate dispatching functions and monitor CAD system for calls.
• Train Telecommunicator personnel and conduct squad meetings.
• Maintain records, prepare reports, and ensure certifications.
• Perform supervisory duties and evaluate performance.
