Responsibilities include staff supervision, scheduling, training, and coordination with County agencies. A background review is required, with onboarding encompassing FEMA/NIMS, OSHA, and PREA training.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: 3 years of Emergency Dispatcher/Operator.
• Training: FEMA NIMS IS-100 & IS-700, OSHA, PREA; AZ driver’s license required to be provided on-the-job.
• Pre-hire: Extensive background check.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, advise subordinates and prepare performance evaluations.
• Coordinate staffing schedules for 24/7 operation.
• Manage leave approvals and payroll questions.
• Respond to procedures questions and investigate employee complaints.
• Dispatch 911 and non-emergency calls; log data and communicate with agencies.
• Verify warrants and jurisdiction codes; monitor traffic and incidents.
