Civic Recruitment Limited is recruiting for an EHCP Coordinator to support Hampshire County Council with SEND Tribunal case management and EHCP processes. The role requires handling complex, high-volume caseloads, coordinating evidence, and liaising with schools, SEN teams and legal representatives.

The post holder will coordinate statutory EHCP processes for children and young people aged 0–25, ensure compliance with statutory timescales and legal requirements, and support service improvements

Qualifications

• Significant experience working as an EHCP Coordinator, SEND Case Officer or Tribunal Officer within a Local Authority.
• Extensive experience representing Local Authorities at SEND Tribunal hearings.
• Strong working knowledge of Children and Families Act 2014 and SEND Code of Practice.
• Experience managing high-volume caseloads (250+ cases).
• Experience completing 20-week EHC assessments.

Responsabilités

• Lead the preparation and management of SEND Tribunal cases.
• Represent the Local Authority at SEND Tribunal hearings.
• Review appeal documentation, case papers and supporting evidence.
• Develop tribunal strategies and case responses.
• Prepare and coordinate witness evidence for hearings.
• Liaise with legal representatives, schools, SEN teams and partner agencies.
• Respond to Tribunal directions, orders and deadlines.
• Support dispute resolution and mediation where appropriate.
• Share learning from Tribunal outcomes to support service improvement.
