Job summary

Contract Safety Professionals, LLC. is seeking a Process Safety Engineer to support a major semiconductor manufacturing facility project. The role requires leading PSM programs, risk assessments, and process safety disciplines across design, construction, and commissioning phases.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in process safety within high-tech manufacturing, chemical processing, or similar complex environments and can drive safety culture and compliance with OSHA and RBPS standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years in process safety or related role in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of PSM principles and OSHA 1910.119.

Responsibilities

• Lead process safety activities for semiconductor manufacturing and construction projects.
• Review basebuild facilities, gas systems, chemical delivery, and waste infrastructure for safety compliance.
• Facilitate PHA/HAZOP, FMEA, What-If analyses and other risk assessments.
• Support PSM and RBPS programs and risk-based safety initiatives.
• Manage MOC activities for equipment, facilities, processes and chemicals.
• Participate in incident investigations and root cause analyses to drive improvements.
• Perform detailed engineering design reviews of fabrication equipment and processes.
• Review P&IDs, drawings, schematics, and process documentation.
• Identify hazards and recommend engineering controls, safeguards, alarms, and containment measures.
• Support startup activities, tool installation, and commissioning from a safety perspective.
• Develop and review SRDs, hazard analyses, and process safety documentation.
