Job summary

onsemi seeks a highly technical Environmental Health & Safety Engineer to join the EHS team at its East Fishkill semiconductor manufacturing facility. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Applied Science (Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Hygiene, or equivalent).
• 6+ years of progressively responsible EHS experience in semiconductor manufacturing or high-hazard facilities.
• Hands-on knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 and 29 CFR 1926 regulations.
• Strong independent work and data-driven problem solving abilities.
• Ability to influence engineering and operations leaders without positional authority.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical authority and risk owner for EHS within manufacturing, facilities, and construction.
• Lead incident investigations and near-miss reviews with data-driven methodologies.
• Oversee SEMI S2 compliance and EHS oversight of tool installation, modification, qualification, and decommissioning.
• Support construction safety, contractor oversight, and energy control and gas systems risk management.
• Maintain audit-ready status for ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and OSHA programs.
