Job summary

SSOE is seeking a Process Engineer to join its integrated design‑build team, supporting advanced technology, semiconductor, cleanroom, and mission‑critical facilities. You will design and execute critical process systems, collaborating with senior engineers to deliver practical, reliable solutions in high‑performance environments.

You will develop expertise in UPW/HPW and chemical distribution systems while growing into greater responsibility, working across disciplines to ensure code compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3-6 years of process engineering experience in design-build or EPC environments.
• Experience in semiconductor/advanced high-tech facilities preferred.
• Foundational knowledge of UPW/HPW, specialty gas/chemical distribution, and wastewater treatment.
• Familiarity with PFDs and P&IDs.
• Strong analytical and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Support design and engineering of process systems including fluid transfer, heat exchange, and high-purity piping systems.
• Contribute to UPW/HPW, gas/chemical distribution, and wastewater treatment projects.
• Perform flow analysis, pressure drop, pump sizing, and basic heat transfer evaluations.
• Assist in developing PFDs, P&IDs, and system layouts under senior guidance.
• Participate in equipment selection including pumps, filtration, heat exchangers, and chemical delivery systems.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and controls teams in a design-build environment.
• Support field activities such as construction coordination, walkthroughs, and commissioning.
