Job summary

TPC Group is seeking a Process Safety Technology Engineer to ensure adherence to process safety guidelines and hazard recognition across all plant processes. You will coordinate SIS, mechanical integrity, and other disciplines to close PSM gaps during engineering life cycles.

As the subject matter expert, you will lead FEED, scope development for PSM projects, and provide technical leadership to operations, R&D, and Corporate Development while supporting PHA, LOPA, MOC, and RCA activities to

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
10+ years of chemical engineering experience in refinery or petrochemical plants with process safety.
Practical experience with ASPEN+, HYSIS, and PROSIM.
Strong communication and leadership for cross-functional teams.
Ability to manage ambiguity and lead effectively across functions.

Responsibilities

Technical authority for process safety technologies across all processes.
Develop unit production expertise and technical knowledge of unit operations.
Lead inherent process safety in design concepts and update GEMS.
Develop high-level project scopes to address PSM gaps.
Provide technical leadership to operations, R&D and Corporate Development.
Support PSM programs via PHA, LOPA, MOC, RCA, and action-item resolution.
Lead multi-disciplinary teams in evaluating process safety compliance.
Assess design feasibility, soundness, and safety with engineering judgment.
Lead FEED and scope development for PSM projects and oversee start-up procedures.
