GlobalFoundries is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its Malta, NY facility (Fab 8). You will monitor and sustain semiconductor equipment, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and collaborate with production teams and area engineers to ensure manufacturing readiness.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, documentation, and ongoing process improvements in a cleanroom setting, with alternating day/night shifts and opportunities for career development.

Qualifikationen

• Education: High School Degree (or equivalent)
• Experience: Electrical or mechanical background with multiple pathways (2-year technical degree, 2 years military, or 4 years related experience)
• English language: Fluency required (Written & Verbal)
• Basic computer skills including Excel and Outlook
• Able to work in a cleanroom environment
• Able to lift equipment/tools (50 lbs+) with two-person lift when needed
• Flexible to work 3–4 day alternating shift cycles

Aufgaben

• Perform preventive, corrective maintenance on equipment as required per procedures.
• Follow detailed instructions to complete tasks.
• Monitor, test, and ensure equipment readiness for manufacturing.
• Document events and communicate shift end pass-downs.
• Review SPC charts and respond to out-of-control conditions and defects.
• Develop and update operating procedures and participate in training.
• Engage in continuous improvement projects and skill development.
• Work independently and with teams in a fast-paced environment
