Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Malta, NY, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to monitor, sustain, and improve equipment in the 300mm Fab8 facility. You will work with production teams and area engineers, performing preventive and corrective maintenance and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and PC/software systems.

The role requires standing for most of a 12-hour shift, lifting up to 50 pounds, and adhering to EHS&S policies in a cleanroom environment.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• 2-year technical degree or 4 years of relevant experience acceptable.
• Experience in electrical or mechanical fields preferred.
• English language fluency required.

Responsibilities

• Follow detailed instructions and procedures.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance and provide status updates to Lead Tech/Engineer.
• Work safely in FAB8 environment and comply with EHS&S policies.
• Communicate effectively during shift handoffs.
