Job summary

GlobalFoundries Malta site seeks a Maintenance Technician to monitor, sustain and improve semiconductor manufacturing equipment in a 12-hour shift environment. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, document events, and communicate status to engineers, while adhering to strict cleanroom protocols.

The role requires English fluency, a high school degree (or equivalent) plus technical training or experience, and ability to work alternating day/night shifts in a fast-paced fab.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Degree (or equivalent).
• 2-year technical degree or 4 years of relevant experience or 2 years military experience acceptable.
• Fluent in English; able to read and write.
• Able to work in a cleanroom environment per semiconductor protocol/requirements.
• Willing to work on 3-4 day alternating shifts (day/night).

Responsibilities

• Follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure manufacturing readiness.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on assigned tools and processes.
• Monitor equipment performance, schedule, and communicate status to Lead Tech/Engineer.
• Support EHS&S policies and safety programs.
