Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Malta, NY Fab 8 site. You will monitor, sustain, and improve equipment and processes, collaborating with production teams and area engineers.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and communicating equipment status to Lead Tech or Engineer. The role requires a high school diploma, electrical or mechanical experience, basic PC skills, and the ability to work in a cleanroom and 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent required.
• Electrical or mechanical experience required (2-year technical degree or 4 years related experience).
• Basic computer skills including Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment as required per procedures.
• Follow detailed instructions to complete tasks.
• Monitor, control, and test semiconductor equipment for manufacturing readiness.
• Recover equipment from process interruptions and document events clearly.
• Review SPC charts for process quality and react to out-of-control conditions.
