Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Malta site (Fab 8), performing preventive and corrective maintenance on semiconductor equipment and supporting manufacturing readiness. The role emphasizes safety, effective communication, and collaboration with engineers and production teams.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, electrical or mechanical background, and English fluency.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Degree or equivalent.
• Experience: Electrical or mechanical background or related fields.
• Language: English fluency (Written & Verbal).
• Computer skills: Basic Excel and Outlook usage.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment as required by procedures.
• Monitor, control, and test semiconductor equipment for manufacturing readiness.
• Recover equipment from process interruptions and document events; communicate shifts handoffs.
• Develop and improve operating procedures; participate in training and continuous improvement.
