Job summary

GlobalFoundries seeks a Maintenance Technician at the Essex Junction Fab 9 200mm facility to monitor, sustain, and improve equipment and processes in partnership with production teams and area engineers.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot using mechanical, electronic, and PC/software skills, and clearly communicate status updates to the Lead Tech or Engineer.

Qualifications

• 2 Year Technical/Associates Degree in Science, Math, Engineering, Semi-Conductor Manufacturing or related discipline
• At least 6 years direct experience in semiconductor manufacturing or tool maintenance
• Fluency in English – written & verbal
• Able to work 12-hour shifts in a cleanroom environment with PPE

Responsibilities

• Follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment
• Monitor, control, and test semiconductor equipment for manufacturing readiness
• Recover equipment from process interruptions and document end-of-shift pass downs
• Communicate status updates to Lead Tech and/or Engineer
