Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer to blend business development with technical leadership. You will manage client relationships, price and write proposals, and seal geotechnical reports for projects in your market.

Based from Texas with headquarters in Sugar Land, you will travel to client offices and jobsites. You will earn a base salary of $115,000–$150,000 plus a revenue share tied to the clients you develop and maintain.

Qualifications

• Active PE license in civil/geotechnical/structural (or able to obtain by comity within 90 days).
• 6+ years in construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, or special inspection with client-facing responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a book of clients for materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical services.
• Scope, price, and write proposals; negotiate terms; convert opportunities into signed work.
• Serve as engineer of record on won projects: review field and laboratory data, resolve failures, and seal reports and letters.
• Direct technicians and inspectors on projects and coordinate with the laboratory on testing schedules.
• Represent the company at owner meetings, pre-construction meetings, and industry events in your market.
