Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking licensed Professional Engineers to drive business development for materials testing, geotechnical, and special inspection services. You will balance client relationships with technical workload, while the company provides the lab, field staff, and quality system.

You will review data, seal reports, and lead project teams, with travel to client sites as needed. Compensation includes base salary plus revenue share based on the book of business you bring.

Qualifications

• PE license required in the state of posting or by comity within 90 days.
• Experience in materials testing, geotechnical engineering or special inspection with client-facing duties.
• Proven ability to bring in work or a credible market plan to do so.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a book of clients for materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical services.
• Scope, price, and write proposals; negotiate terms; convert opportunities into signed work.
• Serve as engineer of record on won projects: review data, seal reports and letters.
• Direct technicians and inspectors; coordinate with the laboratory on testing schedules.
• Represent the company at owner meetings, pre-construction meetings, and industry events.
