Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks licensed Professional Engineers to lead business development while delivering geotechnical and materials testing expertise. You’ll manage client relationships, review data, and seal reports, balancing revenue generation with technical workload.

TX-based role with travel to client offices and jobsites; you will operate with our in-house lab and field staff supporting you. Compensation includes base salary 115k–150k plus revenue share.

Qualifications

• Active PE license (civil, geotechnical, or structural) in the state of posting or able to obtain by comity within 90 days.
• 6+ years in construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, or special inspection with client-facing responsibilities.
• A record of bringing in work, or a credible plan for how you would in this market; comfortable pricing and negotiating.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a book of clients—general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms—for materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical services.
• Scope, price, and write proposals; negotiate terms; convert opportunities into signed work.
• Serve as engineer of record on projects you win: review field and laboratory data, seal reports and letters.
• Direct technicians and inspectors on projects and coordinate with the laboratory on testing schedules.
• Represent the company at owner meetings, pre-construction meetings, and industry events in your market.
