Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking a Self-Perform Work (SPW) Project Engineer to support successful SPW delivery on construction projects in Raleigh, NC. You will collaborate with SPW crews, project managers, and subcontractors to ensure scope requirements, schedules, and quality standards are met.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in construction engineering, a Bachelor’s in a related field, and OSHA 30 (preferred; 6-month completion).

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field.
2–4 years of experience in construction engineering, project engineering, or related field.
OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification preferred; completion within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

Review contract drawings, specs, and submittals for SPW scopes for accuracy and compliance.
Collaborate with SPW managers, superintendents, and teams to resolve technical questions.
Monitor SPW schedules and budgets; report variances to enable timely corrective actions.
Support SPW QA and safety protocols across all phases.
Prepare SPW documentation: daily crew reports, logs, and field changes.
Identify opportunities to improve SPW processes and share leading practices.
Participate in SPW coordination meetings and communicate progress to teams.
