Physicians' Primary Care of Southwest Florida seeks a Self-Pay Patient Account Representative in Fort Myers to join our Administrative team. The role handles patient and insurer self-pay accounts, responses to inquiries, and delinquent account management with strict HIPAA compliance.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in a busy medical office, strong data entry, and exceptional customer service skills to support patients and internal staff.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience working in a high volume medical office environment.
• Great attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
• Ability to handle all interactions in a professional, friendly and enthusiastic manner.
• Excellent and professional customer service skills.
• Knowledge of methods and procedures of health data systems.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service to both our internal and external customers.
• Handles calls and correspondence from patients and insurance companies as they relate to self-pay accounts. Provides prompt resolution to questions or concerns.
• Identifies on a daily basis all delinquent accounts and pursue accounts as described in written policies and procedures.
• Makes recommendations concerning patient accounts to be written off or turned over for collection.
• Monitors work status and maintains productivity within MGMA standards for Patient Account Representatives.
• Maintains the strictest confidentiality and adheres to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
