Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Self-Checkout Ambassador to provide fast, friendly service at the front end. You will greet customers, assist with self-checkout, and help ensure smooth transactions while maintaining store standards.

The role requires good communication, reliability, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. You will wear the Food Lion uniform and support the Customer Service Manager as needed.

• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers.
• Greet each customer and use their name when possible.
• Assist customers with Self-checkouts and the hand scanner for a Fast checkout experience.
• Respond to customer inquiries and self-checkout notifications.
• Monitor self-checkouts for proper usage and item scanning.
• Maintain a neat, clean self-checkout area and follow Front End standards.
• Complete CBT and training aids as required.
