Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Self-Checkout Ambassador to provide fast, friendly service at the front end, assist customers with self-checkout, and maintain an inviting shopping environment. You will greet customers, guide them through the self-checkout process, and monitor stations for smooth operation.

Ideal candidates are high school graduates with strong communication and customer service skills, able to learn multiple tasks, and capable of meeting physical requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Must meet minimum age requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly service at self-checkout and greet customers by name when possible.
• Assist customers on how to use Self-checkouts and scanners for a quick checkout experience.
• Monitor multiple self-checkouts for proper operation and accuracy of scans.
• Maintain a neat, clean self-checkout area and report any issues to management.
• Follow store policies and safety procedures while assisting customers.
