Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Self-Checkout Ambassador to deliver fast, friendly service at the Front End. You will assist customers with self-checkout, greet shoppers by name, and monitor multiple stations to ensure accurate scanning and smooth transactions.

You will wear the Food Lion uniform, follow standard practices, and help maintain a clean, efficient self-checkout area while upholding safety and policy requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to use computers, smart devices and SCO hardware.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, easy, friendly service to customers through self-checkout.
• Greet customers and use their names when possible.
• Assist customers with self-checkout and hand scanner for quick checkout.
• Monitor self-checkouts for proper usage and scanning accuracy.
• Maintain a neat and clean front-end area and follow Front End Standard Practice.
