Job summary

Vylor in Johnston, IA is seeking a Production Technician to support seed production operations on site. You will operate process equipment, follow Quality Plan work instructions, and collect data to drive continuous improvement while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.

This role requires flexibility for rotating shifts, ability to work both independently and in a team, and comfort with basic computer systems (Outlook, Excel).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; willingness to obtain GED within one year of hire.
• Strong safety mindset and adherence to quality plans and procedures.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends and holidays during seasonal peaks.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word; comfort with basic computer systems.
• Legally able to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Operate process equipment following our safety policies.
• Record data for continuous improvement and production records.
• Support preventative maintenance and basic repair tasks.
• Lead or support safety initiatives across the site.
• Assist warehousing activities including forklift operation.
• Work with automation and computerized systems (HMI, tablets).
• Support field activities such as scouting, logistics, and harvest when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
