Job summary

Vylor Inc. is hiring a Production Technician for our Rushville, Indiana facility. You will support seed production activities and operate automated systems, ensuring safety and quality throughout processing.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with the option to obtain a GED within 12 months, plus lean manufacturing awareness. This on-site position offers varied shifts, physical work, and opportunities to grow within the company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; willing to obtain GED within 12 months of hire.
• Two-year technical/associates degree preferred for job readiness.
• LEAN Manufacturing knowledge (5S, continuous improvement) is beneficial.
• Experience with field/agriculture equipment is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Model safety as the number one focus and act as safety steward of a program.
• Perform seed corn harvest activities including receiving, husk/sort, drying, shelling and bulk operations.
• Handle color sorting, sizing, gravity table, treating, packaging and palletizing tasks.
• Operate automation and computerized systems (PLC, computers, iPads) to complete tasks.
• Conduct warehousing tasks including forklift operation and quality sampling.
• Contribute data for continuous improvement projects from Bottoms Up Planning.
• Assist with facility and equipment maintenance as assigned by supervisor.
