Job summary

Remitly, Inc. is seeking a Security Technical Lead to drive security engineering, AI development, and cloud security across our S&P organization. You will lead by example, deliver production‑grade code weekly, and build agentic platforms that scale security across the company.

The role requires deep expertise in security, cloud IAM, cryptography, and data protection, with a track record of shipping secure solutions at scale in a fast‑moving business.

Qualifications

• Proven software engineering depth with production systems.
• Hands‑on experience delivering production or open source software
• Security engineering, AI, and application security expertise.

Responsibilities

• Set and demonstrate technical direction across security domains.
• Build agentic platforms for S&P, shipping agents, skills, and tooling.
• Develop builders across job families to adopt AI and agents in delivery.
• Advise engineering leaders and executives on secure design and tradeoffs.
• Deliver production features and controls early, automating processes.
• Navigate security and business enablement tradeoffs with cross‑functional partners.
