Job summary

Target seeks a Lead Engineer on the Security Architecture team to ensure systems are designed and built securely. You will identify risks, develop mitigations, and integrate controls across the enterprise as new platforms are built and existing ones are modified.

You will collaborate with engineering and leadership, require deep security knowledge, and communicate across teams to drive secure outcomes with focus on cloud and on-prem environments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in security architecture and design.
• Ability to translate security requirements into system designs.
• Experience across cloud and on-prem environments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with system designers to integrate security requirements into IT design.
• Develop and maintain security architecture docs, models, frameworks, diagrams.
• Ensure security architecture aligns with business objectives and compliance.
• Identify vulnerabilities and propose mitigations.
• Design and implement security controls (firewalls, encryption, access controls).
• Guide secure coding practices with development teams.
• Lead full-stack security architecture reviews across products.
• Provide expertise on cloud security controls and reference architectures.
