Job summary

Per Mar Security Services is seeking a Low Voltage Technician to install, service, and test electronic security systems including burglar and fire alarms, CCTV, and Access Control in residential, commercial, and industrial environments.

Starting pay ranges from $20-$35 per hour based on experience, plus a monthly incentive program up to 10% of annual pay. Tool allowance, company vehicle, cell phone, and competitive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Requires valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug tests.
• Must obtain required licenses/certifications to work in security per state regulations.
• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Candidate must be able to travel as needed.
• Strong math skills including algebra/geometry.
• Knowledge of fire and electrical codes for safe installations.

Responsibilities

• Install and wire specified alarm system devices.
• Test and verify all installed systems and devices function per manufacturer specs.
• Use multimeters for volts and ohms readings and circuit analysis.
• Program alarm systems via programmer or keypad.
• Explain and demonstrate system operation to customers.
• Complete proper paperwork and submit daily to the appropriate department.
• Communicate with clients, coworkers and Central Monitoring Station.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
