Job summary

Per Mar Security Services is seeking a Low Voltage Technician to install, service, and test electronic security systems including burglar and fire alarms, CCTV, and access control in diverse environments.

The role requires installation and testing of devices, programming, and communicating with clients and monitoring stations. Wages start at $20–$35 hourly, with a monthly incentive program, and opportunities to advance with training.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license and submit to background checks and drug tests.
• Must be able to obtain licenses/certifications to perform work in the security industry.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to travel as needed.
• Must have mathematical skills including fractions, percentages, and geometry.

Responsibilities

• Install and wire specified alarm system devices.
• Test and verify alarms, sirens, strobes per manufacturer specs.
• Program alarm systems via programmer or keypad.
• Explain how the alarm system works to customers.
• Complete paperwork and submit to the appropriate department daily.
• Communicate with clients, co-workers, and Central Monitoring Station.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
