Job summary

Per Mar Security Services is seeking a Low Voltage Technician to install, service, and test electronic security systems including burglar and fire alarms, CCTV, Access Control in residential, commercial, and industrial environments.

Starting pay ranges from $20-$35 per hour based on experience, with a monthly Incentive program of up to 10% of your annual pay. Wages are based on skill level; tool allowance, company vehicle, and cell phone are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Must obtain licenses/certifications per state regulations for security systems.
• Knowledge of fire and electrical codes for safe installations.

Responsibilities

• Install and wire specified alarm system devices.
• Test and verify system functionality per manufacturer specs.
• Use multimeters for volts and ohm readings and circuit analysis.
• Hook up devices to panels and controllers (motion detectors, keypads, etc).
• Program alarm systems via programmer or keypad.
• Explain system operation to customers and provide demonstrations.
• Complete paperwork and submit to the appropriate department daily.
• Communicate with clients, coworkers, and Central Monitoring Station.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
