Job summary

Securitas Technology in Chicago is seeking a field Alarm Technician to service client sites, respond to trouble tickets, and perform on-site software upgrades and configuration changes. You will troubleshoot post-installation issues and help ensure system uptime across access control, CCTV, and fire alarm platforms.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, experience with low voltage equipment, and solid knowledge of security systems.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience installing and troubleshooting low voltage equipment.
• Strong knowledge of commercial access control, CCTV, burglary, intrusion, and fire alarms.
• Fire alarm experience; Bosch/Silent Knight preferred.
• NICET, State Fire License, ESA/NTS certifications preferred.
• Basic network/IP addressing knowledge.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Respond to trouble tickets to ensure uptime and performance.
• Diagnose and resolve application issues individually and in teams.
• Perform preventative maintenance to maximize availability and identify faults.
• Document all system modifications through a change control system.
• On-site installations of software upgrades and major modifications.
