Job summary

Qualifications

• Developing exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
• Developing technical skills related to building automation systems, fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems.
• Ability to develop basic programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems and look for solutions.
• Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper).
• Proficient computer skills including familiarity with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Respond to routine and some non-routine service calls and scheduled maintenance.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, replace defective parts and debug systems for routine problems; install projects as necessary.
• Use solid troubleshooting skills to isolate and fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software.
• Identifies and resolves problems for many types of service calls and provides appropriate solutions; completes repairs and replacements as needed.
• Completes accurate and detailed service reports for customer and Convergint to support invoicing and cost tracking.
