Job summary

Per Mar Security Services is seeking a Low Voltage Technician to install, service and test electronic security systems in residential, commercial and industrial environments. Starting pay ranges from $20-$35 hourly based on experience, with a monthly incentive program up to 10% of annual pay.

Position requires a valid driver's license, the ability to obtain necessary state licenses, travel as needed, and strong math and code knowledge to ensure safe and compliant installations.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and consent to pre-employment background checks and drug tests.
• Must be able to obtain specified licenses/certifications to perform security work.
• High School Diploma or GED required for the position.
• Must be able to travel as needed.
• Must have basic mathematical skills (areas like interest, proportions, percentages, geometry).
• Knowledge of fire and electrical codes for safe installation of alarm systems.

Responsibilities

• Install and wire specified alarm system devices.
• Test and verify all installed systems and devices function per manufacturer specifications.
• Use multimeters for volts and ohm readings and circuit analysis; connect devices to panels.
• Program alarm systems via programmer or keypad.
• Explain and demonstrate to customers how the installed alarm system works.
• Complete proper paperwork and submit to the appropriate department daily.
• Communicate with clients, co-workers and Central Monitoring Station.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
