Job summary

Per Mar Security Services is seeking hardworking, motivated technicians to install, service and test electronic security systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Starting pay ranges from $20-$35 based on experience, with a monthly incentive program of up to 10% of annual pay.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and be willing to undergo pre-employment background checks and drug tests.
• Must obtain specified licenses/certifications to perform work in the security industry as required by the State.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must have travel as needed.
• Must have mathematical skills including calculating figures and amounts and applying basic algebra/geometry.
• Must possess knowledge of fire and electrical codes to safely install alarm systems and devices.

Responsibilities

• Install and wire specified alarm system devices.
• Test and verify that all installed systems and devices function properly per manufacturer specifications.
• Use multimeters for volts and OHM readings and circuit analysis; hook up RJ31X to panel mountings of devices like motion detectors, keypads, and controls.
• Program alarm systems via programmer or keypad.
• Explain and demonstrate to the customer how the specific alarm system works.
• Complete proper paperwork and submit to the appropriate department daily.
• Communicate with clients, co-workers and Per Mar's Central Monitoring Station.
• All other reasonable duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
