Job summary

Per Mar Security Services seeks a Low Voltage Technician to install, service, and test electronic security systems across residential, commercial, and industrial sites. You will work with burglar and fire alarms, CCTV, and access control, ensuring proper operation and safety compliance.

Starting pay ranges from $20-$35 based on experience, plus a monthly incentive program of up to 10% of annual pay. Willingness to travel and a strong work ethic are essential to thrive here.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and pre-employment background checks/drug tests.
• Must obtain licenses/certifications to perform work in the security industry as required by the State in which the branch operates.
• High School Diploma or GED is required for all Per Mar Security Services positions.
• Must be able to travel, as needed.
• Must have mathematical skills including area, circumference, and volume, and basic algebra/geometry concepts.
• Must have knowledge of fire and electrical codes to ensure safe installation of alarm systems and devices.

Responsibilities

• Install and wire specified alarm system devices.
• Test and verify that all systems and devices installed function properly per manufacturer's specifications.
• Use multimeters for volts and OHM readings and circuit analysis; connect devices to appropriate panel mountings.
• Program alarm systems via programmer or keypad.
• Explain and demonstrate to the customer how the alarm system works.
• Complete proper paperwork and submit to the appropriate department daily.
• Communicate with clients, co-workers and Per Mar's Central Monitoring Station.
• All other reasonable duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
