Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Commercial Service Technician to troubleshoot and repair security systems, including burglar, fire, CCTV, and card access equipment. You will provide on-site service from a remote location with company tools and aim to resolve issues promptly for customers.

You will coordinate with authorities as needed, maintain clear communication, and uphold safety and quality standards across building systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3-4 years’ experience installing and inspecting/repairing Tyco Integrated Security or comparable product line.
• Experience with Card Access/CCTV/IP cameras.
• HIRSCH Certificate required.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Electrical/Electronic background preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and service security systems to resolve customer concerns.
• Advise customers and care center on system status and inspections.
• Repair or replace burglar alarms, fire alarms, CCTV, and card access systems.
• Work independently from a remote location with supplied tools and equipment.
• Provide solutions and outcomes at the time of service.
• Coordinate inspections with police, fire departments, or other agencies.
