Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Service Technician to diagnose and service card access, CCTV, burglar alarm systems and related building products at customer sites. You will deliver high-quality service, communicate effectively with customers, and provide solutions during visits.

Responsibilities include following established troubleshooting procedures, interpreting manuals and blueprints, and offering quotes for recommended improvements. Occasional on-call and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• At least 2+ years of experience with card access and CCTV.
• Mass D License minimum.
• Knowledge of test equipment, multi-meter, digital analyzer and commissioning devices.
• Experience installing, inspecting, repairing, and programming card access and CCTV.
• Fire alarm experience is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints, submittals and manuals.
• Ability to perform physical labor up to 50–70 lbs.
• Capable of weekends work and overnight travel.
• Pass pre-employment background and drug test.
• Knowledge of NFPA standards.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems and perform service and repairs on card access, CCTV, burglar alarm systems and related building products at customer sites.
• Provide customers with high level service and solutions at the time of service.
• Follow troubleshooting procedures and reference manuals to repair equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals and specifications.
• Provide quotes to support recommendations and upsell where appropriate.
• Maintain truck inventory and be available for on-call emergency service.
