Job summary

Johnson Controls International plc. is seeking a Commercial Service Technician to troubleshoot and service security systems, including alarms, CCTV, and access control.

You will diagnose issues, perform repairs or replacements, and coordinate with authorities as needed to keep facilities secure and efficient. Based in Oak Brook, IL, you will work with minimal supervision from a remote setup and provide customers with recommendations and timely solutions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3–4 years' experience installing and inspecting/repairing Security or comparable product line.
• Experience with Card Access/CCTV/IP cameras.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Electrical/Electronic background.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Locate and alleviate trouble with damaged equipment or wiring; readjust equipment, repair or replace inoperative equipment and test for operation.
• Coordinate inspections and/or installations with police, fire departments, or other appropriate agencies.
• Service and repair Commercial security/Fire Alarm/CCTV/Card Access systems.
• Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility is running efficiently to include upselling opportunities.
• Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
