Job summary

Securitas Technology in the United States is seeking a capable Service Technician to provide on-site support for client security systems, troubleshoot issues, and perform preventive maintenance. You will document changes, assist with upgrades, and collaborate with teams to ensure uptime.

Candidate should have a High School diploma, experience with low-voltage installations, and strong communication skills. Experience with access control, CCTV, and fire alarm systems is preferred; EL06 license

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity installing and troubleshooting low voltage equipment.
• Strong working knowledge of commercial access control, CCTV, burglary alarm, intrusion systems, and fire alarms; related certifications are a plus.
• ESA/NTS certifications preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills and written/verbal communication.
• Excellent problem solving, time management, and work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Respond to trouble tickets to ensure application uptime and system performance.
• Diagnose and resolve application issues both independently and in a team.
• Execute preventative maintenance to maximize availability and identify faults.
• Perform routine configuration changes (user permissions, application configuration, etc.).
• Document all system modifications with a change control system.
• Produce technical documentation describing deployment for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Perform pre-deployment end-to-end testing of upgrades and modifications.
• Perform on-site installations of software upgrades and major modifications.
