Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Technician to install, program, start-up and certify fire, security, and building automation systems on diverse projects in the San Diego area.

You will work as a key technical interface with customers, delivering the highest level of service while meeting budgets and timelines. Mentoring and teamwork are emphasized as the company grows and invests in its people.

Responsibilities

• Installs, programs, tests, repairs, and services a variety of systems including security, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation.
• Reads complex blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation requirements and repairs equipment.
• Operates systems to demonstrate equipment, perform start-up and certification/testing, and identify malfunctions.
• Mentors less-experienced staff and coordinates with project managers to ensure on-time delivery.
• Provides customer training and acts as the primary technical support interface to maximize satisfaction.
