Job summary

Convergint Technologies, LLC is seeking a full-time Security Technician in San Diego to install, program, and certify security, fire alarm, and building automation systems. You will train customers and ensure successful project outcomes, delivering quality service with a collaborative team.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with security systems and building automation, strong electrical aptitude, and a customer-first mindset to support a growing, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• College degree or trade school or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5–7 years relevant experience.
• Extensive knowledge of all security systems.
• Experience in 2+ of: electronic, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, repair, and service a variety of security, fire alarm, life safety, and building automation systems; provide customer training and support.
• Read blueprints, schematics, manuals, and wiring diagrams to determine installation requirements and perform repairs.
• Operate and commission systems; develop non-routine programs and demonstrate equipment performance.
• Lead onsite projects with safety, quality, and timely delivery; mentor junior staff and supervise subcontractors as needed.
• Prepare submittals, shop drawings, documentation, and training materials; support project management.
