Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Technician to join our collaborative culture. You will install, program, startup, certify, and train on fire, security, and building automation projects, handling small to large tasks within budget and schedule.

You will act as a key technical interface with customers, mentor junior staff, ensure safety compliance, and deliver high quality service. Our benefits and culture support growth and success.

Qualifications

• Experience with building automation, fire alarm and/or electronic security systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
• College degree or trade/tech training; 5-7 years experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, repair, and service a variety of systems including security and life-safety.
• Mentor less-experienced staff and coordinate with project managers.
• Read blueprints/schematics to determine installation requirements; interpret manuals and diagrams.
• Ensure safety, quality and on-time project delivery; support customer training.
