Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Technician to install, program, start-up and train customers on fire, security and building automation projects, handling tasks from small to large scale while respecting budgets and schedules. You will be the main technical interface with clients and may mentor junior staff.

You should bring a strong customer focus, solid electronics background, ability to read blueprints, and experience with building automation and fire alarm systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience installing and programming electronic security and/or fire alarm & life safety systems for enterprise-level customers.
• Certifications in Genetec, Lenel, Brivo, DMP, Avigilon, Verkada, and EST are preferred.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, repair and service security, fire alarm and building automation systems on assigned projects.
• Provide customer training and act as primary technical interface for client satisfaction.
• Read blueprints and schematics to determine installation requirements and troubleshoot equipment.
