Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Specialist to support installation, programming, startup, certification, and customer training on diverse security projects. You’ll be part of a team that grows with Convergint, delivering world-class service and protecting lives and assets across customer sites.

You’ll read blueprints and wiring diagrams, troubleshoot hardware and software, and mentor junior staff while ensuring safety and quality on every site.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused and able to work under pressure.
• Solid technical skills with fire alarm and/or electronic security systems.
• Proven troubleshooting ability and problem-solving mindset.
• Self-starter with minimal supervision.
• Reading blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Support installations hands-on or via training of colleagues.
• Perform inspections, test and commission systems.
• Interpret manuals and wiring diagrams for installation procedures.
• Mentor less experienced staff and supervise testing and tuning.
• Assist in resolving unusual problems with engineering.
