Job summary

Convergint Technologies, LLC is seeking a full-time Security Technician to install, program, start-up, certify, and train customers on Fire, Security, and Building Automation projects on-site. The role includes mentoring staff, managing timelines and costs, and ensuring customer satisfaction with high-quality service.

You will read blueprints, troubleshoot, and coordinate with engineering and project teams to deliver robust, integrated systems while upholding Convergint's values and safety

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer focus and ability to regularly work under pressure.
• Strong technical skills and experience related to building automation systems, fire alarm systems, and electronic security systems.
• Advanced mechanical and electrical aptitude and ability to read blueprints and drawings.
• Proficient with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Installs, programs, tests, repairs, and services a variety of systems including security, fire alarm/life safety, and building automation.
• Reads blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine installation requirements and troubleshoot equipment.
• Operates systems to demonstrate equipment, start-ups, and commissioning; writes non-routine programs for systems.
• Mentors less-experienced staff and provides technical support to customers to maximize satisfaction.
• Coordinates with Project Manager and supervisors to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.
• Performs tasks in compliance with health, safety, and regulatory policies.
