Job summary
Convergint is seeking a full-time Lead Security Programmer/Commissioning Engineer to lead project execution from planning through closeout on sophisticated building security and life-safety systems. You will manage budgets, schedules, procurement, and field installation while ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
This role interfaces with clients and internal teams to deliver world-class service.
Qualifications
- Bachelor-level or higher experience preferred in engineering or related field.
- Experience leading engineering projects and field service teams.
- Strong communication, scheduling, and cost-control abilities.
- Familiarity with building automation, fire alarm, or life-safety systems is a plus.
- Ability to translate customer requirements into detailed project plans.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Lead project management from award to closeout, including planning and procurement.
- Direct field installation, start-up, and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate with customers and internal teams to ensure quality and safety.
- Develop and review project plans, schedules, and budgets; manage changes.
- Prepare cost estimates, subcontracts, and project invoices; assist with collections.
