Job summary

Convergint Technologies is seeking a full-time Security Technician in Louisville, KY. You will install, program, start-up and certify security, fire alarm, and life-safety systems, and train customers on operation and maintenance.

You’ll be part of a dynamic team with opportunities to grow as the company expands. The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude, a valid driver's license, and willingness to travel locally to jobsites.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
• Willing to learn technical skills related to fire alarm and electronic security systems.
• To be a self-starter and work well with direct supervision.
• Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (hand and power tools).
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to travel locally to jobsites; minimal overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, repair, and service security, fire alarm, and life-safety systems as directed.
• Provide customer training and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Interpret manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams; troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Commission new systems, analyze performance, and identify malfunctions.
• Coordinate with Project/Operations Managers on project scope and timelines.
• Support quality improvements and safety/compliance considerations.
